Videos are the last frontier of contemporary art. The intention with my works is to experiment some techniques without any borders between different expressions.
Poetry is applied as a soundtrack on digital painted images. Music as an invisible screen, a sort of pen-screen which connects different screens together at the same time.
Medusa project was a performance involving painting, illustration and acting. It was an ironic and provocative moment of the Venice Biennale 2005. In the Constellations project created after Nicolas Alquin’s
sculptures, my goal was to try to maintain the Maestro’s poetical spirit point of view.
I think necessary in my works to do some distinctions between traditional videos, video-installations and video-thinkings. I believe video-thinkings could be an interesting form of art to experiment with these new technologies like Ipods and video-phones.
work in progress 2010: “MODICA, una finestra aperta per dove” – video under construction for the Gibellina Museum on Giuseppe Modica painter and his triptic commissioned for Gibellina Church built from Quaroni architect. Gibellina had a terrible earthquake in 1968. Many artists like Consagra, Burri, Pomodoro, Guttuso… contributed with their works to rebuild this village as an outdoor museum. Other artists like Giuseppe Modica are working to implement it.
